    Auto Keylock??

well enough is enough, I can't stand my phone (8100) calling people when it is in my pocket and I can never seem to remember to utilize the keylock feature...is there anyway to have the phone auto keylock on idle? I got a 160 dollar charge from calling someone when i was traveling overseas and apparently it left a 30 min message....

if anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

WHat I did was set the Camera Button to the Lock function. THe other option is to set up a Password for the device this activates a defult 2 minute auto lock

    Yes.

Go into Options > Security Options > General Settings

Once there, change the value for "Password:" to "enabled"

two options down from there should be the option "Security Timeout:" Change that value of that option to however long you want it to take until the phone locks itself when idle.

If you have not setup a password, it will ask you to create one when you save these settings.

It will ask for your password each time you want to unlock it, but you can set a short, easy password if you want. You can still answer incomming calls while it is locked, though.

you can go download this program OTA. set your backlight to go off at whatever time you want and the keys will lock whe the light turns off. to turn it off just hit the "*" then the answer key. no passwords needed

    Re: Auto Keylock??

Somebody please help I just setup a password for the keypad lock and it was working fine until I turned the phone off and back on. Now it won't accept my password and it won't tell me that my password is wrong no matter what i type in. I've pulled the battery out twice for a couple of minutes and it still won't accept my password. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry, b_d0za, I don't know what the problem could be. May I suggest starting a new thread so that more people will be able to see your exact problem?

Hope you can figure it out!

Instead of an automatic keylock when Idle can you set it to go into standby mode instead automatically? That would be super!

Yes, that would be even better. Anyone know of an app that does this?
