so...when you get an email with the attachment do you see this at the top of the email?
    [1 Attachment]

and then you scroll to that and click the trackball and choose open attachment?

I see the [1 attachment] but no option to "open" when I open the full menu.

UNLESS it is for a BETA OS, it's at your own risk and I won't support it

    Re: Attachments in e-mail

do you have a copy of the your device OS on your pc?

if so, run app loader, scroll down to make sure the box beside "attachment services" is checked, if not, check it, then click next and let the app loader run.

    that should fix it.

you could try resending service books from your BIS account, but i don't think that will help.

::edit:: yes ^^ what sniper says...if its unsupported, then you won't get the option either.

There are also some emails that have a data attachment. It will look as tho you have an attachment to open, but there really isn't.

The max size for an attachment is the same as the max download allowed. It's like 100mb or something like that. The exact mb, MB, KB or kb escapes me at the moment.

    terrapin - did it work?

my other question, since you said the box was checked would be to go to options/advanced options/applications

see if it show in the apps?

did you resend your service books?

I have received on my BB an attachment over a meg and sent just over 200k. So not sure what the limits are... but I also wonder if it varies by carrier

    Re: Attachments in e-mail

The most important question that remains un answered is what kind of attachement are you trying to open. Not all file types are compatible with your BB email.
