I've searched and searched and never found an answer to this issue. My 2 IT ... BlackBerry Pearl forum
appt created on BB will not sync to Outlook
I've searched and searched and never found an answer to this issue. My 2 IT guys are also not able to fix it, saying it's an issue with the Pearl.
BES hosted through my company server
About my 5th Pearl, last 3 have had this issue (that I noticed)
Windows XP Pro
I create an appointment in Calendar, on the BB. The appointment will not always sync with Outlook 2007 Calendar. Sometimes it will, but I cannot trust it to work, it fails a majority of the time.
To test this, I will enter sample appts, 1 to 5 at a time, and see how many of them will actually sync. I'll do this while out of the office, then check, hours later, to see if they've come over. Usually, they don't.
-doing battery pulls each morning
-changing various options in calendar
-repeatedly bugging my IT guys, who are great, and who are wishing I'd just go away.
At this point I've switched from a paper calendar to all electronic and now feel I been screwed because I am all in and it won't work consistently.
What can I do? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
what version of desktop manager are you using? newest version sucks with Outlook.
I run the BES at my work, and when I come across these little issues. I simply remove the user from the BES and just re-add them. Also if you BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) is old/out of date that could be part of the problem. I'd ask your IT dudes to remove your phone from the server and re-add it and see if that works.
Google Cal works great for me. You can also sync your outlook to it. It syncs everything to and from my pearl.
No Desktop Mgr needed, sync via wireless. When using a desktop, using the web based version, but just to load apps, etc.
IT guys have removed and added my phone a few times now. Good idea, thanks!
Change from making an Appointment to making an Event or Meeting. I had that problem today and changing my appointments to Events or Meetings fixed the problem and they now show up on the BB.
Do you like it? I think its Eeewwwie.

Either the Mapi or CDO versions or off or maybe there is an issue with your mailbox. Could be an issue with the BESAdmin account writing to your calendar.
no luck so far
None of these ideas have worked, any more thoughts?
Thanks for everyone's input!
when you go to options->advanced options->default services.
what does it say next to cical? and is that the calendar you use to sync with the BES?
I don't have a "default services" in advanced options on my phone

In options on the blackberry set the paramater so the that bb wins over the PC and see if that does anything
it appears that the IT policy on your phone is restricting this
