    when i got my bb it had no facebook, google talk, etc
    and when my friend got his he did. Why is that?

    those are typically third party apps that need to be loaded onto your BB. Did he get his used?
    IM BACK w/ a new BB 8220!

    Depending on who your carrier is facebook is controlled by 'service books'. You'll need a data plan to access it.

    If you already have a data plan, sounds like you don't yet, have the phone call out to the network for you.

    Options>Advanced options> service books> highlight entry in bold print and press menu>select register now.

    The new Pearls and Curves have these pre-loaded. You can find the Facebook app on m.blackberry.com

    With AIM and G-Talk I think those only work on OS 4.2.2 and up... but try Googling it or checking wap sites. They always have links for stuff like that on there.
