Make the pearl run a little bit faster, because mine will take forever to lead pictures, music, typing a text message or email, it just takes forever to think. Anyone have any tips on how to fix it...?

What OS are you running? Some lag more than others. Also may need to free up memory. Try a battery pull. Battery out for 30 secs with phone on.

Re: Any one know how to...

I'm running v4.2.0.64 Platform 2.2.0.37 and I've tried wiping the handheld, and it will run fine for the first day or so, I've done a battery pull and it takes about 35 minutes to reload, I dont have that much on my phone, so I dont know what the problem is, i erase the messages I get everyday because I get about 300 of them....So I'm out of ideas, lol.

    thanks though Eddie

Well i was going to say to use this link http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ent_cache.html
and clear the event log http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...en_tricks.html, but you say it takes 35 mins to reboot after a battery pull? NOT NORMAL. It should at max take 5 mins and that is even pushing it. When was the last time you did an App loader on the PC with Desktop manager?

I did one two nights ago, and it works fine until the next morning when I did a soft-reset, and then it takes 25-35 minutes to reload and then it just runs like garbage

i would say to first off upgrade your OS. 0.64 is buggy ( TMO really needs to come out with the next OS) i would suggest http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ers_4_2_a.html, also when you load your info back on to the phone use an advanced restore to bring the info back.

I would probably suggest upgrading to .94 and cleaning out the things you don't need like the demo vid and maybe some of the themes. There is a thread on here about tweaking an OS install to install just the basics. At least that way you know that your internal memory isn't getting stolen to unwanted programs.

    Just my two cents.

Also, what theme are you running? Some various themes, like Phantom, are known for being quite sluggish, not 35 mins sluggish, but still. Any theme that pretty much re-skins your entire OS with its own graphics is going to be a bit laggy.

    Jkai -
You might also check and see how much available memory do you have? Check Options>Status. Have you loaded lots of applications or new themes into the device memory? Also you can go in and delete unused languages that are pre-loaded (some will surprise you) to free up memory.
