I think JiveTalk is worth the $20. It is by far the best option out there IMO.

should be data...only the OZ uses sms.

    EDIT:
Yeah mobile.blackberry.com has yahoo, although I don't think it works with AT&T subscribers.

I thought all of the IM clients were in the works, not sure what happened with that though.

I agree with the others about paying for Jive. Its worth every penny if you use IM a lot. And the fact you only need one app to use AIM, Yahoo, Google, etc. makes it even better, IMO.

I got hooked on it in free beta, I'll keep it.

Im sorry, but i notice when someone is asking for a free IM program, you all shove Jivetalk down their throats. They are not asking for a IM client that cost 20 dollars. I dont thread on this thing, one because of what im writing and two, all these issues that your having with your pearls: leave your OS alone. Stop trying to make your pearl a magic wand thats gonna save the world! Dont get me me wrong, i love my pearl, but geeze. You want the world, then by an iPhone, or wait for the WiFi BB coming this fall. Just my opinion that im entitled too and im sticking with it.

what's the point of having something if there's no way to tweak it or try to make it better? Why put a better stereo system in your car? Why remodel your kitchen? Why go to the gym?

I tried Ramble and the free OZ IM client. I kept getting disconnected and didn't like the way either one looked or functioned. I spent the money ($20 is not bad at all) for an app that I can transfer between devices (I did that just last week when my Pearl decided it didn't wanna work for a few days. I had to temporarily port my JT license to my 7100t and then back to the Pearl when I got it working again). Have not seen this feature with a free app.
