Sounds like when you updated the OS, you chose BES instead of BIS... thats why you are getting those emails.

Its because you installed the desktop manager with the wrong configuration. You must choose blackberry internet service. If you don't choose that, then whenever u plug your phone in to sync, then email settings is sending redirector service books to your phone, since your not using redirector then that is what is causing those emails to arrive. Your resolution...uninstall dekstop manager and reinstall making sure to selct blackberry internet service. Then on your phone...delete all your service books from advanced options. Then log into BIS and resend service books to your device. This should resolve your problem.

If I delete all the service books will that affect my other email accounts?

    Thanks

Here is your resolution....its really pretty simple

You need to go into your Control Panel, Add Remove programs, and select CHANGE -Desktop Manager

When prompted select Blackberry Internet Service , NOT Blackberry Enterprise Server or Redirector. Save this new configuration.

Now on your device, under Options, Advanced, Service Books delete the Desktop service books, ther should be 2 CICAL and CMIME.

This should fix you right up!

I would delete all of them in case the other ones may have gotten corrupted in any way. If you delete all the service books, yes all of your email accounts will be removed from the phone, but when u send the service books back to your phone from the BIS website then they will all come right back.

Thanks all the help. I deleted all the service books. Here's where I'm a little confused, how do I log onto my BIS? Is that something I do on my BB or from a freshly installed desktop manager?

Go to Sprint's BIS site and login there. Google "Sprint BIS" and it'll take you there.

Go into the set up email icon on your BB and go thru the menus as if you were setting up a new email account and you will get to a screen with SERVICE BOOKS (on mine its the very first screen)

I had to log in, then the service books were there. I resent them but now the problem is, now I can't set up my work email through outlook. Our work doesn't have bes. I get to the "select pop3 or outlook exchange server" screen. No matter what I select, my BB gets stuck and does nothing. Any thoughts?

Do you know if your work email runs off a pop/imap server or exchange?
