AIM on 8120
Am i doing something wrong or does it just not work on tmobile??
What app? The actually AIM app or a different messaging client?
the aim app that came with the phone ofcourse. why would i be using a different one if it comes with one.
Many users use different applications for AIM, such as JiveTalk. So it is important to help get your question answered if we know what you are using.
okay sorry about that im just a little aggravated with this i have the latest pearl and cant use aim, a feature i had back in 1999 with some crappy tmobile/voicestream phone.
go here on your bb browser www.beejive.com and install Jive Talk. It's not free and you will have to purchase the user license (transferrable) or the device license (non-transferrable) to use JT for more than 30 days.

thanks but im not going to pay to use aim. im not the type of consumer that pays for free services.
anyways i just got off the phone with tmobile blackberry support.
if you have bb 8100 pearl you can use aim
if you have the 8120 you need a data plan to use the aim that comes with the phone.
You will be paying to use AIM if you pay for the data plan then. If you're ONLY using AIM, then that might be the option for you.
However, you may as well get JiveTalk (allows for multiple accounts to be used at the same time with multiple screennames, along with a whole host of other features) if you want access to other messengers at the same time.
It can also use the Sound Profiles on the BB for notifications. If you need to replace your BB, or you upgrade to a new one (as I have used it on 3 soon to be 4 different BB models since getting it), you can transfer for free with the transferrable license.
sounds good thanks a lot!
