    After the 8100?

One of my main reasons for getting the pearl is its size. Now the 88xx series looks nice and features are getting better, but for me I like the suretype and not into the QWERTY. so, what's the downlo on the next generation of the pearl?

Yeah, I've checked that out before. the 8300 is very impressive, but not much smaller than the 8800 and a lot chubbier. My perfect Pearl would have Wifi, Camera / video recording, GPS, and G3!

honestly, in today's world I don't understand the hold up.

RIM likes to keep people wanting. There are enough corporate goons who will want the latest BB. If they keep supplying a steady chain of devices, they will sell more. Plus the FCC is a facist organization IMHO, and getting a decent phone through them can be compared to getting blood from a rock.

Sometimes I wish I lived in Europe again, just for the phones.

I'm looking forward to the 9xxx series of devices. I hear they will be able to read your mind.

Ok...what is WiFi? I thought the phones already had the internet on them. And if the 8100 doesn't have GPS capabilities, why then do we have telenav on them?

I am so lost! The 8300 doesn't look that much different than the 8800 except for the camera.

That BB 8300 Looks Very Nice. Do they make a patch for this adiction? Maybe I will tape an old 7100 to my arm.

Wi-Fi is just what kayos said. It is just a short range, high speed connection. The cool thing about having it on a phone is that it is faster, and in most cases free to use.

The FCC is the Federal Communications Commision. They regulate just about all electronics that are sold stateside. They also regulate Cable, Phone and Cell companies.

The 83xx is supposed to be a smaller handheld. The 8800 also does not have a camera, bit the 8300 does.

Im hoping that it comes out before the end of my 30 day return policy with Cingular. If not, I may just go exchange my Black Pearl for a red one the day before it expires.
