All Blackberry's are Java based and so far there is not any plans that i have seen to make Flash available for Blackberry Devices.. But that is something that all BB owners really would like. There is a lot of BB owners who would like Better 3gp stream... for you tube mobile.

it has nothing to do with blackberry or rim...it's all Adobe...they own the product and choose not to license to BB...a lot of politics and $$$ involved when it involves Adobe...and the sad thing is that we the consumers are the people that suffer because it's not that Flash for BBs isn't doable...Adobe just doesn't want you doing it...hopefully we will win this battle some day soon

All of the Flash interpreters, whether it be Adobe's, or one of the open source implementations like Gnash are written in C/C++. The only language supported for BlackBerry software development is Java.

Sure, it is doable, but it will -- more than likely -- require a complete rewrite of the interpreter. It isn't political, as you insinuate.

Incidentally... how much would you be willing to pay for Flash support, if it were offered as a 3rd party application?

Well, as more sites require flash... I think that the need for it grows on a daily basis... Perhaps a reasonable price. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
