DM (Desktop Manager) will backup all necessary things, not only address book.
Or you can do sync with Outlook, which will efectivly do backup of contacts, calendar and tasks...

Go to your address book, select a contact (revealing their various contact numbers), click the menu key and select "Copy to SIM Phone Book."

Unfortunately, I do not know how to copy all contacts to the SIM. The process given is to add the contacts one-by-one.

Anyway, copying contacts to SIM will/can cause chaos. SIMs, AFAIK, support only one number/information per entry.
Meaning, if you have 3 various phone numbers for some contact, it will take 3 entries on SIM...
