    Hi,

My GF's just been sent a replacement 8110 due to reception problems with her old one. I went onto the BIS site, logged in and clicked change device. entered the PIN and IMEI number and it says Device suspended or deactivated.

I called O2 UK and they said this is an issue with a faulty batch sent from RIM...

    anybody else having this problem?

it's being going on for about 3 weeks now....

    Hello bobbobadobob,

My GF had a similar issue with verizon and they eventually shipped her out a replacement device. It took her about 4 days of calling and speaking to verizon managers to have this completed.

I hope all works out for her.

I spoke to 02 last night, guess what?

Still no estimated date of repair for the network...

The Customer Complaint guy i spoke to said that because o2 are supplying me with a phone that can make calls and send texts they are filling their contractual obligations...

I don't get what could be taking so long....

because their isn't a fault with the handset they won't swap the device yet the device doesn't work....

I would suggest to try speaking with a manager until one of them agrees with you. In addition, if they have any retail branches - go into a store and see if a rep there can assist.

    I wish you luck...
