    Accidentally deleted Browser

Obviously, I'm a newbie here... but what I've seen here so far is amazing. Y'all are awesome! Anyway, I seemed to have accidentally deleted my "browser" icon using the desktop manager for my pearl 8100. Can anyone tell me where/ how to get it back? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

    options/advanced options/host routing table

then choose menu and choose register now.

if that doesn't work, then log into your BIS account and resend your service books

Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table>click on Register Now. Pull battery for 30 seconds and then reinsert it.

It should get pushed back to your device, so just wait a bit and it should show up again. If not, just resend the service books... most the time you can go on your providers website and have that done or give them a call and tell them to push the browser back to your device.

LOL I knew you'd be back. I remember reading your post when you got rid of the other BB.

I did the host routing table thing last night, but as of today my browser has not appeared back on my pearl 8100. I'd like to try what you are suggesting about the BIS account and resend my service books, but sadly, I don't have a clue what you are talking about. I'm assuming I have an account somewhere on the Internet that came with my service and I should be able to log into it and resend my service books that way, but I don't know where to begin. Please help. (I apologize for being so ignorant, but as I've stated before I'm a newbie. My old nextel i605 was not even in the same league as this pearl. I've got a lot of adjusting to do!)

backdraft - who is your mobile carrier?

you can also go into 'set up personal email' icon and set up your account that way

or log on to your BIS account via the pc

    Re: Accidentally deleted Browser

Backdraft, is this a Blackberry Pearl from AT&T? If it is, then you have a corrupt DM from the CD that came with your phone.

Go to the AT&T Site (or from links posted in here) and download the most recent version of Desktop Manager, v. 4.2 SP2. Install it to your PC, then go back and download the most recent OS for your phone.

If you are doing it from the AT&T site, the most recent version is 4.2.1.96.

Download that OS to your PC and install it, then connect your Pearl with the USB cable, and start Desktop Manager and Application Loader. You will be prompted to upgrade.

The upgrade can take 30-40 minutes to complete, and you'll have the white screen/spinning hourglass during that time.

Good luck and welcome to the Stacks.

Nevermind cherrichiodo... I think I found it! As soon as I can I'll install the OS and let you know how it goes. Thank you so much for all of your help so far (that includes everybody!).

    backdraft...

If you have AT&T you need to take LaTuFu's suggestion! It is possible that your DM is the real problem!

Same has happened to me. What I was adviced and it worked was to go onto your pc and request to service books. When you receive them your brower should also return
