    Accessing media files

I have loaded music files on my media card.

Now I have loaded a video movie to the card. There is plenty of capacity on the card. I can see the file on the BB when I am hooked to the computer but when I disconnect, there appears to be no video file there.

I have tried re booting twice.

Also, a few of the songs I see on the BB when I hook to the computer are not shown when I view the BB only.

I am not sure of the format but I used the Seabyrd site that has rave reviews on this board and I told it that I was using a BB Pearl.

Make sure your music is MP3 format, if it's not convert it using any software inluding widnows media player.

About the videos check out this thread http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...or_8100_a.html

U might also have to reformat your card

ummm did you load the video files under the folder:
    \blackberry\videos
    On your media card?

If not go into Media, click the menu button and then click explore. Explore around your media card to see what files are on there. As far as I know you sghould be able to load any type of file onto the media card and while exploring the way I just described you'd be able to see it.

I checked the "explore" menu. I did find the file. It said "unable to display file" /media card/blackberry/videos/filename

I would try a different program with your movies. There are plenty of free programs that you can try. Which can help to eliminate the problem.

Dude try SUPER C and convert your video files to .avi

Check out the thread on the very top of this forum about encoding your videos.

    Re: Accessing media files

Thanks for the feedback. I will try the Super C.

I did, however. read the links and used the most recommended video converter, made by Seabyrd. Hope this one works.
