you did the right think davey - i would wipe ONLY as a last resort. since garrett had issues with the first upload, the java wipe was, i feel, necessary to get all the bugs/corruptness out (can you tell im a mom ) and then start fresh

I don't think that calls for a wipe. Just make sure you're not running a bunch of apps in the background.
ALT + Escape should show you whats running.

what do you mean 'can't MMS'? do you get the red X, or do you mean no MMS alert msgs are coming through?

/me thinks i spoke to soon...

I had spotty coverage last night and to be quite honest i hadn't realized what was going on until i looked further into this thread.. I did indeed experience some time of drop in conversation... that would ideally last 10-15 seconds.. (long enough for both partys to hang up) and it would sometimes come back but not guaranteed. I didnt think much of it because of my location but i kept calling and even went out doors for better coverage and still experienced the same thing. Even one phone call just disconnected without warning!

Another annoyance i didn't think at first was a big deal, was the LAG between the first bit of data sent out before i recieve a response from the carrier. For example I was surfing on Opera mini during the weekend and my first outgoing bit of data is nearly unheard (shown by no data transfered and opera reading connecting....) for 10 seconds... eventually it will show processing and connect. but if i let the phone sit for another minute or so i would get the same thing. I experienced the same type of delay/lag when i opened google maps. Cingulars .71 was NOT like this at all it would quickly connect and pull data... the transfer icons would never disappear until the data is fully loaded.

Another minus on battery, i nearly used 80% of battery without much data and calls... and zero additional programs running in the background. i would typically see 40-60% on an average day like that with cingular .71 rom

I'm on my way to revert back down now, But should I wipe the blackberry or downgrade?
