This will explain what all the different LED blinks mean?

    Written by squeaker:

Flashing Red for notifications (e-mail, voice-mail, etc if enabled in options),
Red for loss of signal (can't remember if this is solid or flashing,
Flashing Blue for Bluetooth (if enabled),
Yellow for low battery (can't remember if this is flashing or solid, believe flashing),
Flashing green for voice service level (if enabled) and charging indicator (device off)

These are the only ones I know off the top of my head. If you have another third party app they can tap into more colors and be used for customization (there is one that allows the definition of different colors for different messages and one that flashes different colors for different service levels. These sound neat but could get confusing trying to remember exactly what color means what for your custom assignment, at least in my honest opinion). There is also the solid purple that some are reporting, and that seems to be related to having ColorPearl installed, Bluetooth on, and receiving an e-mail all in conjunction (although some from t-mobil report that they see it for the same situation above but without the ColorPearl app installed and a Yahoo subscriber has the purple as well, but I don't see this with my Yahoo).

Hope this helps some and answers soome of your q's.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can anyone add to these? TIA

    Re: 81xx LED Codes

Can't seem to find any thread per say...

From my experience I know the following:

Green Flashing: Signal indicator -- good signal
Red Flashing: Signal indicator -- bad signal
Red Flashing: If setup, new message / alert
    Blue Flashing: Bluetooth Connected

    Anyone add more?
    As always, just my opinion...

When my battery is really low and I get an email it flashes purple or blue... hmm can't seem to remember and my battery is charged but I know it is either one of those.

It is probably like I mentioned above. I think that the results people are seeing is it is firing the 2 LEDs at the same time hence the different colors, just an anamoly of the system.

I think theere is a 3rd party app that lets you really customize the LED, search around.

It is under the options settings when you are in the Bluetooth area. Got into the Bluetooth section under settings and then click the menu button and select options. Scroll down to LED connection indicator and set to on. You should now have the flashing blue when connected to BT.

    Re: 81xx LED Codes

If I have Bluetooth enabled and I have JiveTalk running or get an email/sms, the message indicator turns purple instead of blue. It tries to flash the red and blue at the same time. Pretty cool actually...
