    Question 8100 memory problems

In the past week we've had three of our 8100 users report low memory prompts. when I checked them on the server I noticed all of our 8100 users are at 10MB or less of free memory space. Has anyone else noticed this with thier 8100 users? If so what was the cause? I've checked the devices in question and other than a couple with a good sized contact list i can't find anything that should be hogging so much memory. Any ideas? Thanks.

The pearl has been known to have a memory leak issue the solution is to upgrade to the latest OS or deleting any unused applications and languages

    shooter,

Harry is correct. Pearl is notorius for the memory leak issue. I really suggest you consider an OS upgrade to .107. Reports of free memory jumping up to 30mb with this OS. You can also delete unused languages if they are loaded. Check Options-Advanced-Applications.

You may need to see if your users are loading media to device memory, this will eat it up fast.

    Re: 8100 memory problems

I have a question along that line:

My pearl has the 1g card in it for the same problem. My call logs were deleting, my emails were dissappearing. So I got the memory card, and I still have the same problem...

I know it's got to be a setting I have set up wrong somewhere, I'm just not smart enough to figure it out. What am I missing?

Steph the phone only has 64mb of memory. There is a thread stickied up top on how to stop it. Let me know if you have any more questions.
