    8100 Issues

Don't know exactly how to title this, but any of you with 8100's right now that have dislikes that we think we can fix (not like "I don't like the screen size), but actual operating systems issues, type them here.

From what I have found, you are NOT able to remove preloaded pictures and video from the device, which is pretty dumb if you ask me because they are just wasting space.

Also, I notice that when you go in thru the DM, there is no video folder, which is making me think that I am going to have to shell out money for an expanded card if you want video to be able to be loaded.

I am going in now and going to look at the alx file to see whats up in there and what can be deleted from there.

Also, I have yet to find a way, but does anyone have it set where when you press the trackball it comes out of sleep? Its annoying the crap out of me.

Nate, how is the earpiece volume? Speaker volume? I am very happy with the volume on my 8700. How would the Pearl compare?

    Re: 8100 Issues

Speaker Phone volume isn't all that great.

Some people will love this phone, I for one don't and its not just a matter of suretype.

I honestly believe that RIM jumped the gun on this device and there are still some things that should have been done differently.

The more I play with it, maybe it will loosen up.

My stance right now. Would I drop an 8700 for this? No way in hell.

Does it look good? Sure does.

Maybe a little too small though.

Those of you who WANT one but don't NEED one, wait about a month and Tmo will have them for about $99 with activation is my guess.

NP. Gimme some time and I will post a full out and out review...Right now I am wanting to get as many of the pet peeves that I have and flaws that I believe it has taken care of if possibly by going in and playing with it and maybe corrupting some OS files or whatnot. These are just my first intial thoughts about it.

By the way, if Blackberry Thumb worries you, then you don't want this phone...HAHAHAHAHAHA....The keys are do small its not even funny!

This is driving me nuts. I don't have a browser on mine! It's there in the applications on the options menu, but there is no icon, and no set up internet option. I'm taking mine back to TMO today and seeing what they have to say about this.

Sdotmelfi, is this on the new 8100? Sounds like you need to send new service books in order to get the browser icon set up.
