    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Reinstall desktop manager first and then the latest device OS. Delete the vendor.xml file. Connect the BB to the PC without the battery. Start the installation. Reinsert the battery. Finish the installation. Wait for BB to reboot. Disconnect from DM.

You will have to reinstall any apps that did not get installed.

after starting application loader it only gives me the option to select COM1 and when I check the "Detect communication port" it says device not found. P.S. I have selected USB under connection settings

Where did you buy the phone and who is your carrier. I would think that at less than thirty days if you simply boxed it up and sent / took it to them, they would exchange it.

Try a new battery? Take it to your service provider and see if they can help.
Maybe the battery didnt charge properly.

Connect it to a different computer....

Check this link and see if it helps. Also you might want to give the customer service number a call in case you need a return merchandise authorization (RMA #)

BrandoTGreat i think it is a battery/power problem.

Hook up the BB to a different wall charger/USB cable to a differnt computer and try to turn on the BB.

Update: i was getting nowhere try all combinations of methods and still the phone doesn't turn on or gets detected by the computer, so I am just getting a replacement through t-mobile, I do have my backup from the day before it died so I should be alright with everythiing that was on my phone and I still have all of my application files to reinstall them
