I think you have hit the problem definition on the head. Check out the results of a search for 64 BIT Drivers.

    Hope this helps

I'm having the same problem on mine...also running on XP 64bit....I've done and tried everything mentioned above even before reading this post. Tried it on a laptop running 32bit xp and it worked fine. So I'm guessing BB needs to come out with drivers for XP 64bit??? I don't want to have to go back to win 32bit since I have a 64bit mobo.

    latnballer, Welcome to PinStack.

I think it is a lack of 64 BIT Drivers. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your BB.

I have this same problem with my desktop (I'm currently using now), which isn't running 64-bit Windows XP (and USB 2.0). I have all the same issues as jsimms243. I connect my BB to my desktop at work which is an older Dell (same version of XP, USB 1) and everything works fine. The only thing I hate is BB's technical support, argh. It sucks I can't sync at home.

    lupin3rd,

What version of DM are you using on your Desktop? Have you tried to force the Connect (Settings/Detect)? And you might just want to check out the responses to this post, Re: Warning ! Device not found. They might also help you out.

I am having the same issue. The driver DM installed is version 3.0.0.3 from 7/4/2006. Is there a later driver (got this from T-mobile).

I am trying to follow the instructions to wipe the BB but cannot even get the connection.

Ok I am back home, and it does seem that my usb drivers are out of date (2001?), the only problem is the desktop manager didn't install any usb drivers. I also dont know where to start looking for them to download. This is really pissing me off, according to my computer it doesnt see the bb in any way at all. The computer doesn't see it, nothing detects it letalone DM, I am beginning to really consider exchanging it for another.

Re: 8100 cannot connect to DM, but PC sees BB! Help!

Ok well I just tried this all on another computer and yes it works absolutely perfectly. But my computer, no luck. So I am gonna redo all the installs and then I'm at my wits end to why this wont work on my computer.

Also, ill reiterate, my computer does not detect the device at all, like when I plugged it into the other computer the bottom right notification came up about new hardware being added... but this computer makes no notice of the bb being plugged in.

What OS do you have installed on the PC?

You need the Desktop Manager and the OS.

    Let me know.
