If so please post exactly what you did to get it to work.

I've got my finger on a "buy now" button ...i want to click it....

I just got off the prone with 611, and they say 2 gb is as high as the 8100 supports.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~so 2GB memory is as high as I can go with my pearl? And it'll accept an SDHC card? I found a good cheap one at buy.com but its 4GB

I guys! I've just gotten my Sandisk 6GB SDHC card to work on the Pearl. For some reason, the media manager seems to have a problem with recognising the default format of the card (FAT) i believe. To make things worst, Vista can't seems to format the card to 6GB on FAT32. However XP had no problems whatsoever formatting the 6gb SDHC card to FAT32 which resolves both the media manager problem and finally to answer your question, yes 6gb is supported!

    p.s running T-mobile's firmware 107 on a unlocked ATT pearl phone. =o)

    Regards,
    Jono

O.K. so I am considering buying the 6 gig and I want to make sure that I have this straight.

A 6 gig formatted in FAT32 from XP works in the 8100, Media Manager and as removable hard drive?

The 6 is only a few bucks more than the 4 so why not, right?

I’ve found where I was going to buy from already but does anyone know of any killer deals?

The 6 gig I am looking at is listed as 69.95 and free shipping.

    The 4 gig is 40.25 + 6.95 shipping.

    Has anybody seen anything better?

How are you loading the card?

Through the Media Manager or as a removable hard drive?

As with Iron07, I too am currently running a 4gb card (Sandisk) in my Pearl with the AT&T 4.2.1.96 OS. I used to have a Kingston 4gb in there, but for some reason many of my files would later show up as being "corrupted". Must've been the card itself since the Sandisk card I currently use runs flawlessly.

    Re: 6GB SDHC micro card

I personally despise using the new media manager and as such I use the mass storage mode and besides being easier to use, it also has quicker transfer times, I dunno why.

@ justin.hylton I am currently using a 4b on tmo, and have been for many weeks, I think that person might've been new or something.

so far I am happy with my 4gb and am willing to wait and save so when the 8gb come out I can get it almost right away. I guess I'm lucky that I only use my card for work files and music, never saw the appeal putting dvds on my pearl, although I have done it a few times. I'd rather use my time to listen to music and play the 10 to 14 games I have on my pearl.
