    4.2.1.94 vs 4.2.1.109

    Rogers is now offering 4.2.1.109.

I currently have 4.2.1.94 . and the only 3rd party Apps I have are Jivetalk 1.0.3, MyAlarm 2007.10.04, and a few other games I could do without.

My pet peeve with Rogers and RIM is they don't write release notes with their upgrades. You have no clue what you are installing.

am I buying myself anything special with 4.2.1.109?

not really, minor bug fixes and changes.. you'll hardly see them.

Also I believe it might to some point solve the memory leak issue.

I did a similar upgrade some weeks ago.. almost no noticable changes

Hi iron07, thats why I wrote: to some point.. he he, I still experience memory leak to some point, but atleast now it can go down to 38MB, and up to 39MB.. so its not that much of a big deal to me..
If I where to reboot the phone I would get 41MB free.

It's silly because I had .107 and it did little things that I hated so much! For one the OS was lagging and I think I had a problem when I did a text message because I'm a really fast texter and when I would start typing it would also lag. I would wait for what I just typed to pop up on the screen and because it would lag, the words would come up as nonsense so it was really frustrating. When I upgraded to .109 it fixed this problem for me. I never checked out the memory issue. I don't think I ever came to notice it.
