headset adapter issue

Hi folks,
I picked up a blackberry approved adapter last month. I did so to work with my Jabra headset (2.5). The adapter does not allow for pausing, not will not enable me to answer a call.
I have a call into Rim as well as their accessory division. They are basically pointing fingers at each other now. It pains me to go thru all this for a $20.00 accessory. However they package it as a rim product and they should stand by it. I’m still ticked at having to buy a 2.5 mm headset when I first bought my old Pearl. For 2 reasons;1. The fact that the headset supplied was crap, and 2-that it was 2.5 not the standard.

has anyone else actually bought the Rim packaged adapter and do you have the problems i outline above?

You can get one from any of the airport wireless stores.
That link went to a page for 'Innocases'
Any ideas?
