I have spent 3 hours on the phone today with technical support at T-Mo and then RIM. They have passed me back and forth 3 times each pointing the finger at the other. Basically the My Faves icon disappears during a battery pull and does not return. I get an Uncaught Exception error when T-Mo tries to refresh My Faves. On hold right now as T-Mo again tries to tell RIM this is their problem. I have gone so far as to wipe and reload the OS. No help. So...be careful, you may want to hold on to your existing phone until some of these software issues get worked out. Particularly if you use your phone for business.I know I don't have the extra time to be doing this.

Interesting...I am having similar issues with myFaves not refreshing on my 8220, and I also get the same error you report when TMO refreshes it. After about a hour of trouble shooting that included swapping the SIM card to an 8100 (worked better but not perfectly), she submitted a network trouble ticket.

    The 8220 runs 4.5 I think. The 8900 runs 4.6

    8220 runs on 4.6

Honestly I would be just as happy without the app on my phone, I hide it anyway. I just like the free minutes.

sorry to hear, but thanks for the tip. I've been debating getting a new BB when my contract comes up in Oct. but LOVE my Pearl.

Sounds like I'll check here again before taking any action later this month.

I had the same problem. T-Mobile and I figured out it was a corrupt contacts file. I wiped and reloaded os and did a backup from an older backup file. Hope this helps it did mine.

I usually delete the COD file for fav 5. It takes up memory and serves no purpose. Anytime a new model comes out there are some bugs to work out. I haven't seen anything yet that stops it from being functional.
