Wish I could say the same.... didn't work for me.

EDIT: It did after a battery pull! NICE!

didn't even go through any hoops.. just download, installed and everything worked straight up... no issues... maybe sprint paid up the licensing fees?

I have 2 other coworkers on Telus. One with a Pearl and the other has the Curve. The Pearl downloaded WLM from a icon that showed up when she sent the service books to her BlackBerry as a test to make sure she'd be able to get them. Then downloaded WLM via OTA and it worked. The Curve needed the WLM service books to get going and then a resend of the Telus service books.

    Very odd!
Gave up on Rogers! Went to Telus!

Is this working for Verizon 8330s?
    You have two ears, two eyes, and one mouth;
therefore, listen and observe twice as often as you speak.

I'm on 4.5.0.51 as well, when I try to download it from mobile.blackberry.com it tells me that my device doesn't meet the requirements.

That was the same message that I was getting last week, however when I went there yesterday, it let me download.

I went to mobile.blackberry.com on the BB browser, then to the link near the top that was "Instant Messaging for BlackBerry Smartphones". There was a search button on the next page and then the link to WLM.

I'm not sure if this would have made a difference or not, but I had previously installed an earlier version of WLM from one of the 4.5 betas. Unfortunately, the previous WLM was giving me a connection error, but now after upgrading, it is working just fine.

I'll give it a shot, thanks.

Smile Sprint and WLM Now working No upload of Service books required

As of 07-13-08 all i did was go to the link (with my BB Browser) that was posted on page 1 of this thread and accepted the terms and it downloaded and installed with no problems.

    On Blackberry browser: www.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=wlm20
    Blackberry O.S - 4.3.0.127
No Need to upload Service books via Desktop Manager

**I hope this info is usefull and other BB users can install WLM without any Problems

First, go to http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoft....do?code=wlm20 to install the software, it shouldn't block you at all from installing the software, versus the previous version of MSN Live Messenger that did before.

Second, I found these service books somewhere on this site, or another site, but they are service books for all of the IM programs that RIM makes. This file is a backup of service books.

Third, launch Desktop Manager and restore this backup file to your Sprint Curve. The file contains about 10 service books. You know you will have it right when it asks you to accept Terms and Conditions.

    I am running 4.5.033 on a Sprint 8330.
