Ok, I got this to work on the Sprint Curve, but it takes a little ... BlackBerry Curve forum
Windows Live Messenger 2.0 *now* working on Sprint Curve/8330
Ok, I got this to work on the Sprint Curve, but it takes a little work, but worth it! First, go to http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoft....do?code=wlm20 to install the software, it shouldn't block you at all from installing the software, versus the previous version of MSN Live Messenger that did before.
Second, I found these service books somewhere on this site, or another site, but they are service books for all of the IM programs that RIM makes. This file is a backup of service books.
Third, launch Desktop Manager and restore this backup file to your Sprint Curve. The file contains about 10 service books. You know you will have it right when it asks you to accept Terms and Conditions.
I am running 4.5.033 on a Sprint 8330.

Would you be a saint and upload the .alx and .cod files?
When you say the service books are for all the IM programs that RIM makes, does it mean the same procedure works for AIM as well?
Actually, for whatever reason, I can't find the .cod files for the new Windows Live Messenger 2.0 on my computer, or the ones for Yahoo. Once I figure it out, I will upload it all for everyone.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~well I downloaded directly to curve and it insatlled fine, I will install service books in a bit and see how it goes, will post my findings, but these service books should help. Also I am using 4.3 os
You can always extract the .cod files using javaloader Haha oh wait I already did that and gave them to someone on the forums..

My Sprint Curve came with Yahoo IM (Icon on the homescreen). If I do this will It add Windows Live Messenger 2.0 ICON to my home screen just like my other applications?
When i try to import the Service books from the DM it give me an error stating that my DBF's are marked read only and only can be sync wirelessly.... any ideas?????
Ok, I'm running 4.3 on my Sprint Curve...I uploaded the 4.5 OS but my 4.3 DM didn't recognize it or something...
What am I doing wrong? I really want this app to work...
If you have some better answers for me, feel free to PIN me...
I don't get why it is working for you and not me on 4.3. Are you on Sprint? I think sprint does not allow it or something. I did everything and nothing worked. Just says 'Service not enabled for this handheld'.

What dm version are you using?~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
