Will the 8300 work with T-Zones?

Right now, on my Wing, I can access WAP sites via T-Zones.
I am not happy with the Wing and would like to use an 8300. My question is whether I will be able to use T-zones with the 8300 for accessing WAP sites (or the coming TMO 8320) or will I need to subscribe to a data plan?

    Thank you

i would guess that like any wap enabled phone you can use it without a data plan either pay as you go or as part of your inclusive minutes (if you have any) however if you plan to use it alot and want to use the email aspect (the main reason for owning a bb) then you will need a data plan.

i use the 8300 on tmobile and i love it. why get a BB if you just want to use t-zones. pay the money get the plan and enjoy the web browsing and everything else the phone has to offer.

I've been told (don't know if it is true) that a "phone" will work but that a "smartphone" will need a data plan. I don't know if BB's are considered smartphones or not. So, if this is the case, the question remains...will the 8300 work through T-zones?

no the blackberry is not a smartphone because smart phones run off of windows os for cell phones. RIM has its own OS for the phones. the 8300 will work with tzones but personally I dont know why you would just want tzones?

    Thanks much for the info.
In answer to your question...different people have different requirements. I want to be able to synch my Outlook calender with my phone and maybe some email. I want document capability. All things that BB offers. From what I can see, RIM would like more than the corporate community as a customer base. The BB's of a few years ago would not have interested me. (I think). Right now, a Treo would have done the job but was unable to utilize T-zones. Why would I want the slower T-zones over a data plan? The amount of time that i spend on the net is worth 5.00/month to me. It is not worth 20.00/month.
It's like asking why a person would want the 20.00 TMO data plan over the faster and more expensive
ATT or Sprint data plans. Different strokes. By the way, how can you sit in front of your computer wearing THAT shirt. I much prefer the one that I'm wearing. ;-).
    Thanks again for your help.
