Just got my first Blackberry a month ago (8300), so this may be a silly question. Is there any way to add wifi on to my 8300?

No you cannot add wifi your self, it's a built in feature. If you want wifi get an 8320

tell that to people that can't get reception at home or at work . seriously, if you need it you need it. on the other hand if you don't, the trade off of getting your internet a little faster might not be enough to tip you over to the "20" side. i would love to have GPS, but i tell myself that i can always get a gps attachment, which the 8320 does work with. - "rationalization is more important than sex." I agree that the 8320 seems more useful as you can have calls and data over the internet and add on a GPS, whereas the wi-fi can't be added to the 8310. I would love to have an 83xx with the GPS and the Wi-Fi, but without the camera, that is something that I never use. I wish that flavor existed (essentially an 8820 with the 8300 form factor, as I like the keyboard spacing better on the 8300 series). It is all about preference, as I always am around and use wi-fi, but never travel to any place where I would need a GPS (reason I have not purchased one) as I am a creature of habit.

...the wifi is amazing, I love the hot spots at home! Because of it I use way less minutes.

like squeakr said, for the best of both worlds get the 8320 then add the bluetooth enabled GPS receiver. See link for receiver.

i dont use my 8320 as a phone and ive never used my tmobile device as a phone so i dont know about their reception . my at&t pearl works wherever i need it to so id never need the wifi . the GPS is hot tho cuz y buy a gps for my car when i can get a pretty blackberry with the gps that i can use wherever i travel ?? that sounds like a better deal to me . and at&t customers dont have to worry about their phone not working cuz we get great reception . lol .
