    In my case...

    Google Maps

    Blackberry Maps

    Beyond411 Search

    BBSmart Email Viewer(not free)

    BberryONe

Blinkberry Demo(you can use your Curve as a flashlight, free)

Soft Reset(you don't have to pull the battery out to occasionally reset your phone, the icon is right there on your home screen)

Google Maps and JiveTalk so far. Been thinking of adding Beyond411 though.

Why both Google Maps and Blackberry Maps? I'm thinking I would just do google unless there was a reason to do both.

Beyond411 seems nice, but which mode are you supposed to use on a curve? Default, BES, Direct (What is an APN connection) or Basic? In my case I am a tmo user w/a BIS plan and often use the phone over wifi.

Jivetalk for messaging, Viigo for RSS, Infospace Find It! for grabbin info on listings, Opera Mini 4 beta 2 for excellent full html browsing and Outbreak control for a nice free bb game to round off the list.

Can you use BBAlerts (or similar app) on the Curve? I like the fact that it lets me know of any missed calls, SMS, etc. I have it on my Pearl and love it.

dbh1, to answer your question, I have tried the both applications with my Vaio GPS device.
In general, I'd prefer Google Maps, satelite images, easy to read interface, etc.
But when paired with a GPS receiver, Blackberry Maps loads faster, it picks up my GPS signal better,
North is not alwasys up (in Blackberry Maps, the direction you are headed will always be up), it also has as many functionalities as Googles Maps do, it will tell you how fast you are going, and I am sure there are more I missed out.

Without the GPS, I'd never even paid Blackberry Maps too much attention.
After having used it with a GPS receiver, I realized a lot of things that it can do, and I am totally impressed.

I have both google maps and blackberry maps. The reason is that some of the software on the BB and 3rd party apps use the BBMaps for their mapping functions, otherwise I just hide the icon. If I need to find something I usually use google.

Softreset is not really needed on the 83xx series I don't think. All you need to do is press left ALT, right Shift and DEL at the same time to reset your phone.

does jivetalk use the internet to send messages bc the tmo messenger uses my text messages and it would be really key if it used the internet
