If you get a blackberry data plan for 19.99, it covers everything. You get unlimited data, which is email, maps, IM etc.

Yes, you should have everything once you have unlimited data plan. A data plan is very good to have on your BB because some places you might not have WiFi access. Many people tend to not have it and just WiFi.. But I count a lot on emails for business needs and I don't love not having to worry about data usage. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Do you have unlimited days plan? Using your BB as a modem, don't they usually charge you extra for that?

Some IM clients send/receive as sms messages, careful (unless you have an unlimited texting plan). Make sure you're using one that uses data (if you have the unlimited data plan).

Yahoo IM and AIM are data plan.

TEXT messages are not covered under Data Plan for TMobile, Texting is a different charged service.

I pay $110/month+tax for 3 lines, unliminted messaging, and one phone with the $19.99 data plan. (reimbursed through employer).

don't care what OTHEr people say about T-Mobile, great service and coverage. Yes, phone selection is limitned but who cares? T-Mobile had the Pearl and Curve, worked for me!

As the post states above no it does not cover texts, but you get IM, email, web, pin messages, tethering all for 20 bucks. Well if you're with tmo you do.
