    weird email issue...

    Ever since cingular officially became ATT in my area, Ive been getting this odd email with every other email I get:

    username@mycingular.blackberry.net
    (of course, I changed the real name to "username" but you get the point.)

    How do I keep this from happening? Its driving me batty!

    Try deleting the email account off your blackberry and set it up again...

    Does the email say anything besides username@mycingular.blackberry.net? Chances are since you set it up with during cingular service...that's what it is still trying to use, but since it's not ATT...it's confused.

    I have it forwarded to my gmail account and I get this info with it:

    Technical details of permanent failure:
    PERM_FAILURE: Gmail tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected. (state 14).

    X.1.X Addressing Status

    The address status reports on the originator or destination
    address. It may include address syntax or validity. These
    errors can generally be corrected by the sender and retried.

    X.1.0 Other address status

    Something about the address specified in the message caused
    this DSN.

    Translation...something is wrong with the address that the message is being sent to (i.e. username@mycingular.blackberry.net) so in return...the message cannot be sent unless the address itself is corrected...

    Call ATT.
