    Question Web Shortcuts to Browser??

I want to have Web Shortcuts (Icons]] on my home screen that will open up the browser.. I tried using the Web Shortcuts program by Johnathan Fisher but I get an error that says, “Uncaught exception: net rim device api system controlled access exception…”
Any help.. what does that mean…
Or does anyone know of any other way to make web shortcuts?
    Thanks

I would try updating your current OS to a more current one. Then try installing it again.

How are you trying to install the web shortcuts? Are you using the most current verison of that also?

The latest OS should be in that list stickied up top of this forum. .184 this the latest for your model.

On the note about web shortcuts I think that the latest version you can download OTA. I can find you the link when I get home.

    Here's the OTA Link: http://m.jonathanhfisher.co.uk/webshortcuts/

just make sure you install the hub and however many shortcuts you need.

    Web Shortcuts

Most people use the available shortcuts for the Curve. For the browser, I simply hit the b key. Basically, you don't need to search for an icon as there are shortcuts available for most tasks. Good Luck on your upgrade.

I would do that too but i use Dial From Screen so i cant. The upgrade went well. It deleted everything n all that but it went well. The shortcuts dont work very well. The Browser takes a good 20 seconds to load it the first time. and the icon resets itself sometimes.

The main problem is that its too slow to open a page when u use the shortcut.. its faster to just open the browser and Go To.. the url.

any ideas why this could be?

FYI: PinStack IS my home page: I set up my left convenience key as my home page browser(via internet options menu.)...PinStack. One click and I am there. Just FYI...
