Warning - Easily Broken Micro USB Port

I just broke the connector while plugging in the data cable.

    Its tiny.

    Its fragile.

If you are off a hair, you will see the male internal part slip down and out of reach of the female connector of the data cable.

I've always been careful with it ---- as we all know USB ports break often on other models.

    You have been warned.

    I'm so bummed right now.

The micro USB is easily broken. Be careful, learn from my mistake.

    Karma is a B----H.

I thought the 8100 had a mini usb, not micro....

I've never broken a connector before, but I have to say, I love the micro usb on the storm. It's a much more stable connection.

I had that happen on a 7105t a few years ago. Maybe I'll wait for a better batch of 8900s before upgrading.

Gee Joedali, sorry to hear that. Thanks for the heads up. I'm sure I'm guilty of taking things like that for granted so I know I need to be careful

The oem cradle made by RIM. Check ebay or amazon. Cradle can't be used with a hard case on your phone. You'd need to take off the case. A small fact I didn't think about until after I ordered the craddle.

Methinks Joe's device was updated, but profile left the same... ;-)
