I use a service, but it won't email you the pic. You must download it to your PC then you can either email it to yourself or move it to your device using the Media Manager in the DM. I prefer using the media manager as it won't compress/degrade your pictures.

    Go to: http://wallpaper.hellaphone.com/
Select an image from your computer, or from the web.
Select your phone type, the 8300 is not listed. Just use the BlackBerry 8700 option in the list, the screen size is the same.
Hit the NEXT button and you'll see your image, in the built-in cropping tool
Crop your Picture and click the Crop Image button
Save your image from the next screen to your computer

Do as you wish to get the pic to your device.
*Edit I just saw you could send it to your phone as a picture message from their site.

    320x240 are the dimensions.
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

That's the one I was talking about, it doesn't support the size we need for the curve.

    Re: Wall Paper Converter....???

i've found that www.mymobiletoy.com works pretty well...just choose other in the phone menu ( for the Curve) and then enter your dimensions..(320x240 again, for the Curve) you can also crop pics...and it doesn't seem to mess the pics up too badly

I recommend PhotoGadget, it's a free program, do a Google Search for it. Use it to resize to 640x480 (your pics will look better than 320x240) and import using dm.

    Re: Wall Paper Converter....???

it really depends...if its a huge picture....and you can downsize to 640x 480 then go for it....BUT if its a picture which is smaller.....which is usually the case on most online pics i find that are desktop worthy its better to just go witht eh 320 x240 because if you were to stretch it too much it looks blurrish and its harder to distinguish detail on the screen.
