the 8800 is more of a workhorse while the curve has stuff like a camera and multimedia abilities. I dont know of anything you'll be missing other than gps but others may have more information. I got my 8300 last week -- upgrade from an 8700c -- and I absolutely love it. I think you will too.

Yes, i have missed the camera alot. I got a blog at http://q-biq.bloggagratis.se and i hate to have two devices with me so this is going to be my "blog" phone ..

Is the 8800 faster then the 8300 ? Read some at the forum about the battery time. Have anyone switched from 8800 to 8300 and could tell me some more about that?

Will the 8800 battery fit the 8300?

No different battery. Sorry. But the battery life is not so bad. The 880 I had was a bit better but, cammera come on! That uses a lot of power flash and all. I'm happy and I use 24/7

Re: Waiting for my 8300 to be shipped

My hub's 8800 lasted him all day and all night- which was important...as a cop he has to have the phone working. The GPS ran the battery down though, and it was too slow for him, so he ended up buying an external GPS system.

I didn't notice any difference between his phone and my curve, although I like the keyboard on the curve much much more!
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

Why do you prefer the Curve?
