Welcome to the stacks. Your voicemail alert will be whatever you set your SMS or Text message alert to. There is no seperate alert for voicemail.

Hello Djrhythm1 and Welcome to the Stacks! Dafodyll is absolutely correct and unfortunately you can't create a seperate ringtone for the phone and your messages on the BB. I would love it if you could.

    Re: voicemail alert tone configuration

Depending which provider you are with you are often able to change the way you are alerted about voicemail messages by listening to options in the voicemail menu - just as you would do with a normal mobile phone.

For example with O2 if you call your voicemail, listen to the options, choose voicemail options; you can then choose to be alerted by SMS message, ringback or icon on the screen. Text message is the default. (Try checking the website for a voicemail FAQ to find out about your own provider)

Therefore if you have not changed the option and receive a normal SMS message as a voicemail alert, then it will be the normal text message tone you hear. To change this just go to your Profiles and edit to change the SMS alert options.
