Nothing native for the Berry. You can plug your device into your PC via USB and check the SD card like you would any external disk.

I don't recall ever seeing anything about a virus infecting a BB; may not be much of an issue.

I have a 8130 and if you put a memory card in that has a corupted file it will say so. And will not read your card. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Pretty sure you won't be needing any virus checker. There aren't any known viruses for BBs.

well funny you should ask that never really got to involved in it but i loaded a few infected files on my memory card of my pearl, like 3 or 4 pictures and about5 music files and kept accessing them on my pearl...whenever i would constantly play or access these files and before i reformatted my card my device would restart itself not all the time though

hmmm i will agree you can get corrupted files added on the memory card but i dont believe there are any known that will actually install and corrupt the device itself.

Like I mentioned above after I loaded the infected files ( I did it intentionally because I was curious) but my phone would reset itself quite a bit. Coincidence? ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

In theory there should be no virus to infect the OS on handheld because of the difference in OS form desktop. You can infect SD cards, check PC World (www.pcworld.com) or PCMag (www.pcmag.com) and do search for mobile virus. Symantec (Norton) has a anti virus software for handheld units not sure if it covers BB. If you find something different let me know. My two cents.

so what was the infected file then? maybe we can get a copy of it and uncompile it and read thru the coding and see where it be able to make your device reboot like that.

I don't know what virus it was. I knew it was infected as one of ny computers would tell me that it was inected so I loaded it on their out of curiousity. I'm sure if I load a new os or reload the os it'll delete or clear that issue.

I know going in that there shouldn't be any major issues just wondering if anything would happen. You know. ~via BB

The virus may not be coded to directly harm the BB, but the virus could corrupt the file in such a way that the BB can't access the file correctly, errors and reboots.
