    Viewing Word and Excell???

I got the "Thumb drive" adaptor thing so that I can plug my micro SD card into the computer and copy over files that I need for work...now here's my question...how do I view them?

Do I need to buy a program? They are on the card, but I can't see them when I click "media"...there are no word or excell documents anywhere....is there another program that I need to open to see them?

I am so lost! LOL! Help please!

hey.. i dont think you can view them unless they come attached to your mail. there are 3rd party apps that let u view and edit word/excel files.
This ones seems to be good. but u hv to wait a bit.

Repligo works great, but they charge a yearly fee. Luckily, I can just expense it to my company, but BB should have a decent file viewer/saver for their devices that is included with the device. After all, BB's killer app is business use, and with the addition of the micro SD cards, this should be an included function without having to download/purchase a third-party app.

Am debating whether to join the BB family for business purposes - but need to find out if I can view Word, Excel and PPT on BB without downloading any software .... and what about Editing ? Do I need to download special s/w for this as well ? The other question is for Pearl users and how quickly they adapt to using the keyboard v. full QWERTY. Welcome any input.

Isn't the mythical OS 4.5 supposed to enable the viewing and editing of office documents ... or did I imagine that?

you did not imagine that, when 4.5 comes out, BB's should have the capabilities of viewing, editing and creating word docs and spreadsheets, etc.

Okay, good. Hoepfully it'll come out very soon, because video streaming + document viewng and editing + html email will make the blackberry curve the best smartphone on earth and the closest thing to an all-in-one-device that human beings are aware of. Well, aside from the human mind/soul/psyche or what have you but **** that I like my gadget.
