I've just completed testing all the variables, including wiping clean my 8320.
The only way I can reproduce the speed seen on the 8300 is to disable style sheets, background and foreground colors, images, reduce image quality to fastest, disable embedded media.
    That's on AT&T's EDGE.
To reproduce the results of the 8320 on WIFI I have to enable everything.
The difference between the two is the size of the page loaded.
With everything turned on the page cnet.com is 340KB.
With everything turned off it is 93KB.
Now I have to go restore my BB.

This is a better test done by Boy Genius and proves what I now know as the owner of an hour old 8310.
Yup, it's faster than my 8320 on wifi.
