    Vibrate Shortcut

On my Pearl and other phones, if you press the pound key for a few seconds, it automatically goes to a vibrate mode. Other than changing profiles, is there a button to push for the Curve to do the same?

Try holding down the mute key on the top of the device for a few seconds.. Works for my 8700g w/ OS 4.2....? Or does the Curve have a mute key on the top????

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Unfortunately I can't find this feature on my 8830 either. The mute button on top now turns the device to "standby mode".

Thumbs up Never Knew This! Thanks!

That's why I love this site. I've been a BB lover for awhile now and never knew you could press the # key and put your phone on vibrate!!

    Thanks for that info!

Maybe it has something to do with the quickdial using ALLLL the keys on the keyboard. Therefore, the # is really the Q quickdial key. Others on another board were complaining about the same thing - if you disable quickdialing does that make the # work for moving to the vibrate profile?

make sure dial from home screen is off...Press F to go to profiles, then choose the respective profile.
also the Convenience key can be assigned to Profiles.

Wow. This is something a developer should get on -- a simple app that allows you to go to vibrate mode -- I really got used to having that on my Pearl.

Like many other cell phones, wouldn't it be great if the volume up/down keys would adjust the ring volume from high to low to vibrate to silent?

Indeed it would. Its rediculouse that the "VOLUME" keys on the side doesn't control the--"VOLUME". Doesn't make sense.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
