    Updated OS 4.2.2.184

Just updated my AT&T Blackberry Curve 8300 yesterday and all went well. However I don't really see a difference between this and back when I had 4.2.2.89. Is there anything I should be looking for? At least maybe a faster speed?

When I did the update I noticed a big speed improvement. The Blackberry boots up about 30% faster and launching applications seems faster as well and fewer battery pulls.

One thing I noticed, but I have the 8230. Is that you can choose your own homepage for the browser. Not something big, but you couldn't do it before. I haven't actually tried to look for new things, but I landed on that change.

Quick question... I have the ATT OS in my 8310, but I have TMobile. Would it be possible to back up my phone, then install new OS, and put the old backup stuff on with the new OS?

yes. I would suggest a manual back up before installing the OS. Desktop Manager will back up everything for you, but I like to play it safe.

the link for the 8320 says Chinese. Does that mean it's going to be in Chinese and not English (sorry for a potentially very stupid question)

That's not a stupid question at all. I'm running one of the chinese versions and everything is still in English. So, no it doesn't matter.

    thank you.

i downloaded 8320CJK_PBr4.2.2_rel338_PL2.5.0.40_A4.2.2.184_Sing Tel and followed the instructions, installed it, deleted the vendor file, and hooked up my BB to the comp but it didn't prompt the upgrade...
