    Unwanted BES emails

Anyone know why (or had this problem as well) I would get the BES "this message is used to carry.....yada, yada" email when I am not even set up to run BES? I use internet service.

I just got a curve from a pearl and use T-Mobile. I did not have this problem with pearl, have checked the T-Mobile site to make sure that I don't have an account set up to run BES and have re-sent my service books in an attempt to stop these. If anyone has a suggestion, I would love to hear it, these emails (10 to 20 a day) are a pain!

    Wipe the device
(options > security settings > general settings > push menu key left of trackball, select WIPE

    reset password on your BES

    Re-run Enterprise Activation.

Oh wait, Just re-read your post. Wipe the device and you should be all good, or do a backup and restore through Desktop Manager.

An Operating System update could help as well

Whoa! Hold up! User is not BES they are using BIS. The OP thought the message was from BES. It's from the Redirector.

    Solution:

    Menu>Options>Advanced Options>Service Books

Delete any service book called "Desktop[XXXXX]"

    Problem solved.

    Good luck!

Hi Waterdog and welcome to PINSTACK!

You do not need to wipe your device. I would bet that you are getting that message because you set up Redirector when you installed your desktop manager. You need to reinstall Desktop Manager and select BIS instead of BES/REDIRECTOR (there is probably a way to chage the settings but I am not aware of it)

post back and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the information for everyone! I tried this one first, lets see what happens.

I will post the results after I have given it some time.

    Thanks again to everyone.

    Re: Unwanted BES emails

Removing the "Desktop{xxxx]" service books (I think that there were two) did the trick!

Thanks a ton for the help!
