It looks like it will be $149 for a two year upgrade if you get it at Best Buy.

Mines coming on Wednesday as well!!!

It'll be a nice change from my Bold

Just have to unlock it now

I asked T-mobile if they can and they said only if I am a customer for more than 90 days, which I'm not.

So I Will be using using FreeYourCellphone.com
they only charge $19 to Unlock the T-mobile 8900 Curve

I've used them before, very good professional company.

If any body else needs to unlock it, try with T-mo first, and if they won't give it to you, just contact FreeYourCellphone.com

    Cheers!

Sorry, I know I'm phone illiterate, but what does it mean to unlock your phone? What will that do?

You can then use the phone on any carrier. It won't only be locked to tmob. You can use it internationally too and buy sim cards to use there, like a prepaid card. You can also sell the phone to anyone :-).

Ok ok time for the wait
I'm jealous of the people on the eastcoast
They get there's a few hours before us here on the westcoast
As far as the people who got it way before us, I don't even wanna talk about it
I'm waiting at the benz dealer right now to pick up a part then heading over to my t mob store and duke it out with anyone else waiting !! Hahah
Ill be more than happy to let you guys know how it goes when I get it
As far as the price goes like I said upgrade time, I think its worth the 200 (after mail in rebate) I don't NEED the 8900
    I WANT the 8900
My friends know me as Mr. Blackberry and Fatso
So gotta stay true to the name
Get the BB then go eat a fatty breakfast

    I'm stoked hahah

    ~via BB 8800 soon to be 8900!!~

Went to the T-Mo store by my office at 9am and got mine, i was the 1st one they sold and they were excited.

Really liking it so far, just don't have any knowledge yet of setting up wi-fi networks, and the light on the trackball ring doesn't come on, other than that i'm getting everything back on it...

There is no way I'm paying $429 (minus $70 rebate) for the 8900, such a bummer. I called tmo and they said I'm only eligible for a partial upgrade and I have to wait five more months to get the full discount.

Did any of you guys experience this? What did you guys do?

Last time I upgraded was in September of 2007 when the 8320 came out.

honestly, i would just wait it out bc not only that
i bet theres a couple bugs that theyre still gunna have to work out
i was lucky that i had an upgrade due (Since last march, but didnt know about it til mon)
even though i just go it
iont think its worth the 429
at the end of the day all you really get is a new look to the phone
    new OS
    better camera
    better resolution
they were kinda pushing it with the 229 that i paid (including mail in rebate)
i wasnt gunna pay more than that
