Unknown Device in PC Device Manager when Curve Connected

Hey everyone, I am having a little bit of a weird problem with my curve. When I connect it to my PC I am able to synchronize, use the app loader and load files in mass storage mode fine but there is a device that always fails to install when it is connected. I have the most recent software versions for desktop manager and for the BB firmware. Any idea about this?

    I'm using an 8320 with T-Mobile

This is the device ID in the pc's device manager:

    ACPI\ATK0110\1010110

    Hello tswys3,

I'm uncertain what exactly is happening. So is it trying to install some thing on the BB or the PC? Also what OS are you running on your PC? Vista or XP?

I am running XP media center edition. The device is trying to install on the pc. It's not a huge issue since everything seems to be working but I dont like having that random unknown device there.

ACPI = Advanced Configuration and Power Interface.

I think you might be missing a driver for it.

Weird, I had another 8320 before this that didn't have that problem, nor with my pearl, 8700 or 8800. The only thing that I think might have gone wrong is that I got an app error when I did a restore to the device. I will try to install an ACPI driver when I get back from work. Sorry about the thumbnail, if you remove the .th from the web address you will get the full image. I appreciate all the advice you guys are great.

That should be the full size image.

Also, reddog, it occurs when I connect the USB cable to my device. If I uninstall the driver from device manager and then reconnect the blackberry the unknown device shows up again so I am certain that it is the blackberry and not another device.
