It could be something corrupt in your calendar database. Have you tried it from your co-workers' computer or any other computer?

I was syncing my wifes new 8220 and it wouldn't sync the calander. It did with contacts. Different error message though, having to do with "intellisync permission"?

    Fix: Unknown Calendar Syncronize Error

I've had this frustrating error pop-up on occasion trying to synch my calendar and I finally found a fix that worked for me. Clear your device calendar entries with the Advanced Backup and Restore feature then re-synchronize your device.

    1. Select Backup and Restore
    2. Advanced
    3. Scroll down in the device database list to the Calendar line item
    4. Select Calendar and click Clear
    5. Go back to the main menu
    6. Select Synchronize and try to synchronize the calendar again
