Please download attached blackberry.alx file to make use of all vendor themes installed on your device. This should be done after downloading the BB OS onto your PC

Sorry, I assumed everyone knew the instructions.

    Step 1)
Download the current OS from http://tmobile.com/bbupgrade

Step 2) Install the dowloaded OS; it will intsall itself (in most cases) to
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8320-v4.2.2.171_P2.5.0.24

    Step 3)
Go the directory where the OS was insalled (See step 2) and MOVE the blackberry.alx file to a safe location in case you need it in the future.

Step 4) Download the modified blackberry.alx from http://www.4shared.com/dir/3890306/2...lackBerry.html

Step 5) MOVE the blackberry.alx file you just downloaded to the directory in Step 2

Step 6) Run blackberry Desktop manager, it will recognize that a new OS needs to be installed let it go through the motions.

It goes without saying always backup your device.

Mareshalu---to the the thread that talks about the OS for the 8320. Go through all that process of registering. Then click download, and save to your desktop. Once it's saved on your desktop, double click it and install it. Once that's installed, come back to this thread and go through the processing of downloading the above file through that link. BEcause you are essentially downloading another file that your computer thinks it has, then when you save it, it will want to replace the original "blackberry.axl" file....say yes. Once that's done, then plug the phone into the computer, turn on the DM....and click app loader, it will do the rest!
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

I go into the DM and I request to load the blackberry.alx but it says "NO additional applications designed for your device were found" what does this mean?? Can anyone give us the step by step process?

Also what will this allow you to do on the 8320 for those of you that have already done this?

just a quick suggestion to all (not to insult your work bb8800), but always keep a copy of your original before replacing. It's a lot quicker to just paste over with original than to redownload or reinstall if you need it back for any reason (i.e, file has been wrongly modified).

Re: TMO 8320 Unlocked Vendor Themes

just gott my first BB 8320 from tmobile the other day so im a first time blackberry user (switched over from a sonyericsson m600i) i must say that i love it so far...

so i want to try and unlock all the themes that are from what i understand hidden in my phone... ive read everything you guys said and some other stuff in other thread about intalling themes on the phone but before i go ahead with everything i want to make sure that i have what i need...

i downloaded the software from tmobile (blackberry manager, desktop manager, and media manager) and i just downloaded the .alx file from here... is there anything else that i need before going through with this?

thanks in advance to anyone that can help...
