Theory: Modified Blackberry alx file and memory leak

I recently just modified my alX file to unlock themes. Then I notice that I loosing 1mb of memory every 3 hours. I went from 13 free of memory at 2 in the morning and wake up today and only have 8. My memory has never been that low,. I have taken off the sample video, keep my emails to a low 50 total. Yet it just goes down and down until I pulled the battery.

So I wanted people to chime in and let the forum know if you memory has leaked after modifying any files in the software.

Yea I forgot a word in the poll options but it wont let me edit....

I haven't noticed any memory issues on my 8700 and I keep my message folder set to 30days worth. I have mine modified for the themes access also.

Re: Theory: Modified Blackberry alx file and memory leak

I think it has something to do with not having the right vendor OS for your phone.

I've got a TMO Curve on TMO version OS which is avalable on their website but I'd tried loading the most recent OS that's available for 8320 models. I went thru the standard procedure loading it (like deleting vendor file...) and everything went fine. The problem is the available memory went from 25mb to 13mb in one day.

I'd done everything I could to fix that, but the only thing I could do was going back to TMO OS just for the heck of it at that time.
So I am back on the original TMO OS and I've not seen any memory issues ever since...
    Kinda strange, huh?

I can't agree with you since my conditions are totally counter your claim.

I have a AT&T 8310 curve with Voddafone OS and my carrier is TMO.

i think its funny how obsessed one can be with the amount of memory left over

Yeah as long as I'm not missing those, I am fine. I did just check mine and seems like I have 10 free. I think it pretty much stays at that the whole day. BTW I have my alx modded.

That's interesting?? Maybe your right? There has to be a reason. Like a majority reason why this happens

Newbie Q: How do you find the memory [and/or whether its leaking] on the 8300?
