Dl from app world also gave bricked my phone, but I'm back up and running - had to reload OS. I reinstall BBM 5 using www.blackberry.com/messenger - no issues. Luckily I backed up all my 3rd party apps and reg back up prior. I didn't loose anything. Just time.

It looks like mostly or all 8900's with this issue occurring ~ I'll let that get resolved before downloading.

I have installed on over 30 BB's here at work, and know several people on 8900's that have installed it and had no problems whatsoever. In fact I haven't heard of one single issue outside of this thread, using both the OTA, and downloading through Appworld. I saw one download and install take about 20 minutes through Appworld, but it still worked. It's MUCH faster to just do the OTA from blackberry.com/messenger.

Just download BBM5 on my 8900 - V4.6.1.206 - and can't get past the I Accept bit. Click on I Accept and nothing happens. Anyone got any ideas?

Went from leaked 5.0.0.8 to the new official 5.0.0.33 using app world and it worked perfectly fine with no issues at all. The new BBM5 ROCKS! I love the colour scheme, it is just so easy on the eyes.

It 's really no better than before but with little pix for contacts and you can send files like MSN. For what I use it for it's the same
    BB Pearl, Seidio rubberized case.
