Re: Take Your Side BB Curve Or IPhone?

I just made the switch from an iPhone to the 8320. Here are my thoughts:

What I liked about the iPhone was the "wow" factor of it. Every time I was
using it in public, people would look and stare. I guess being that the phone
is so unique from the traditional forms of cell phones (candybar, flip, etc.),
people were so drawn in. Using the internet was amazing. It really was just
like using internet on a regular comp. The phone was very easy to use. Apple
did a great job in simplifying things to the bare essentials. However, it lacked
something that really held it back from being a great phone is a "highlight/copy/paste"
feature. This, IMO, is a very important feature that all phones should have.
Deleting groups of items was also missing in the iPhone. Whenever I needed
to delete a bunch of text messages or contacts, I had to hit this button, then
that button, then repeat for however many items I wanted to get rid of. But
what made me change my mind about it was the fact that I was waaaaaaaay
too careful with the phone. I was too scared to put it here or there because
of it being predominantly glass on one side. The chrome finish sides also scratched
very easily. I was tired of it.

What I LOVE about the BB 8320 is how professional and sleek it looks. Email
works great and BBM is so convenient to have. Yeah the web browser is a huge
downgrade from iPhone's internet browser, but I end up looking at the important
stuff such as the context of websites rather than just pictures. I also love the size
of the 8320. It fits perfectly in your hand and feels great. The tactile material on
the sides makes it so much better to hold. Other than that, I'm glad to have a
QWERTY keyboard that is actually there rather than one that disappears here and there.

Overall, I'm glad I made the switch. the 8320 is definitely a great phone to use.

    Great post, well said!

I could not agree more, as I too tried all the rest. This is how I know that nothing beats a BlackBerry!

Veeeery interesting... Awesome to see so many folks happy with REAL reasons for their choice of 8320 over the i, site bias aside. I recently moved from the Pearl to the Curve, and outside of the smaller keys, I couldnt be happier. WiFi rules!!! Thanks to all for the info!!!!

I had an unlocked iphone. What sucked was that I couldn't get the latest updates cuz it would have bricked my phone. I went back to my pearl and i'm pretty satisfied with it.
