got tired of it, so i just went to the tmobile store and got a completely new curve, haha. should i try it again? seems to me the 4.5 made the memory leak worse to the point where it bricked my phone!

Did you have to buy a new curve or did you exchange it?

No I was under 30 day warranty. I actually decided to try it again when I get home, but first I'll do a system wipe before installing 4.5 and see if that helps. I don't see anyone else having a that problem, so I shouldn't either.

Just out of curiosity, what is everyone's memory reading right now? I just want to see if I'm running on the low side.

    Hi WhitePearl,

Are you still experiencing the resetting problem? I am having the same problem of the phone rebooting even after several attempts of installing and reinstalling. ie, wipe clean the previous OS and taking the Memory Card away while installing the new 4.5 OS.

    Anyone knows the fix?

    Thx.

Thanks....I gave up on the 4.5 for now. Going back to the older OS...

I will also wait for the official release from TMobile.

Have you tried completely deleting. The 4.5 version off your comp and redownloading the software then retry installing on bb? That got rid of my restarting issues.

Yeah I deleted it off cp. Still did the restarting. I'm back on 4.2 now.

Do you guys think the tmo version release will have this problem?

4.5 actually cured my restarting problem on 4.2. It hasn't restarted since and UMA hasn't dropped a call yet.

I also, recently, got a new curve from tmo through a "warranty" exchange and put .52 on it and it has major memory leak. I have to do about 3-4 battery pulls a day to free up some memory. I may try the backup-reformat-restore on the microsd and see if that does anything. But yeah, the leak is pretty annoying and it slows the curve down to a crawl when it starts running low on resources

That seems to be a common theme with this new OS, the sounds being at a lower volume. Hopefully that'll be resolved with ensuing releases.
